Lady Alamo is a San Francisco bag brand built on bold prints, bright color and everyday usefulness. Since 2011, we’ve made zipper pouches, backpacks, totes and crossbodies that do more than hold your things. They’re made to make you smile every time you reach for them.
We started in a tiny apartment in Alamo Square, a few steps from the Painted Ladies. Painted Ladies + Alamo Square = Lady Alamo. Yiva brought over a decade in the design industry; Bryce, a graphic designer, designed and screen printed every bag by hand in those early days.
We still design every print ourselves, from California poppies and the Golden Gate to bananas, tigers, stripes and retro patterns. Our bags are crafted in California, and many are reversible, so one bag gives you two looks.
Many of our customers tell us they’ve been carrying the same Lady Alamo bag for years, and we love hearing that. Still, life happens: a zipper gets tired, a strap takes a beating, or a favorite pouch needs a little TLC. If your Lady Alamo bag needs some help, or you’d like tips on caring for it, send us a note. We’re always happy to help however we can.
Our customers don’t think a bag has to be boring. They pick the print that makes them happy, and when someone asks “where did you get that?”, they love telling the story. That little moment of joy is why we do this.
Thanks for carrying a little color with us.
— Yiva & Bryce
